What exactly IS an Instagram model?”

You may be wondering, “What exactly IS an Instagram model?” or “How can I become one?” Of course, this question could be answered in a few different ways, thus making the term ‘Instagram Model’ a bit ambiguous. Regardless, here are a few explanations:
#1) An Instagram Model can be somebody who uploads photos of themselves and hashtags the word “Model”.
#2) An Instagram Model can be somebody who is booking legitimate modeling work- most likely without the help of a modeling agency- thanks to their Instagram account. Often IG models are able to work asfreelance models, seek out their own casting opportunities, and networking as they see fit. Instagram acts as an online modeling portfolio, readily accessible by photographers and casting companies. Their success can heavily depend on how proactive they are with their social media, as well as the quality of photos and content they are sharing.
#3) An Instagram Model can be a Social Influencer, which is essentially somebody who is being paid to promote/post/talk about/share sponsored content. Influencers use their platform in exchange for payment! This sponsored content can be paid for by a brand, company, person, service, etc. The amount of money that an IG model will be paid ultimately depends on their audience and reach. Basically – the more followers you have, the more money you make!
The beauty of being an Instagram model is that ANYBODY can do it. Plus sized models, petite models, middle-aged models, regular people, you name it. Your success as an Instagram model, ultimately, is up to you.
In this day and age, it is entirely possible to become a freelance model without the help of a modeling agent or talent manager, thanks to social media. Social media is skyrocketing with no signs of slowing down. More and more, modeling agencies are turning to the likes of Instagram (and Snapchat) to conduct their scouting. So whereas you may start off your Instagram modeling journey as a freelance model, you may soon find yourself discovered by a major modeling agency… without ever having to leave the comfort of your home. Don’t underestimate the power of a strong Instagram / social media brand. It could ultimately take you places you would have never gone just a few years ago.

Applying Makeup for Glamour Photography

Applying Makeup for Glamour Photography Since glamour modeling is focused heavily upon the sexuality of the model, it is vital for the makeup to emphasize hyper-feminine features while downplaying those considered to be less attractive. This is why heavily applied cosmetics are commonly found in this industry. Achieving the natural look actually takes a huge amount of effort when it comes to preparing this genre of model. Some consider the makeup of glamour models to be similar to that of what one would wear for an evening out. While this is true in some instances, as a general rule the amount of cosmetics used in glamour modeling should not be attempted in daily life.
